2011 X5 535i - with clima set to 60 degrees for both the driver and passenger and AC turned off, my ventilation blows really hot air. When turning the AC on, it acts normally, the expected cold air. 1. I have had the system vacuumed and refilled. result: a hint of cold for a few minutes but then just ambient 80 degree air. 2. ODBII - no faults. 3. Compressor clutch engages and condenser fan works. 4. Low pressure line was high on 1st canned R134a gauge check.
The most common causes for AC blowing hot air in BMW X5 are low or overcharged refrigerant, compressor malfunction, dirty condenser or evaporator coils, faulty blend door actuator, defective evaporator temperature sensor, bad AC pressure sensor, and bad fuse or relay. Less common causes are clogged expansion valve or orifice tube, overcharged
I have a 2008 BMW X5. The ac blows cool (not cold) air on the drivers side and warm air on passenger side. This is the 3rd time i have brought it in for the same problem. I took it in for repair in April because the warranty was about to run out and wanted it repaired once and for all.
Stop blowing/no air flow from ac vents or even defroster vents, etc but the rear continues and is good. When it works, air is cold, runs perfect, blows as should. But it may just randomly stop after working during that drive. Other times, when first getting in car, it may not work, then later drive, work when you get in.

2002 bmw x5 3.0 blower for heat,ac,defroster not blowing any air - BMW 2007 X5 3.0si SAV question. Jeep AC blows cold air at defrost and feet but not through vents.
