Currently installed with Noctua NH-D15 Chromax black (the 2 FAN SKU with ram clearance) HOWEVER, only 1 FAN installed in the middle, as there is not enough clearance for the 2nd fan (on the front the ram is on the way, on the back the integrated heat spreader / backplate cover. Placing it higher is no option as I then sticks out of the case.
Is the noctua nh-d15 worth it? Hi all Here in nz, the d15 sits just shy of $200, im happy to falk out the cash if the performance is actually there, im currently using a $20 deepcool cooler with my 10700kf, it works beautifully keeping temps low during gaming but my temps skyrocket to 98 degrees during video rendering causing the pc to crash Heatsink Cover for NH-D15. Does anyone have either the black cover or the color swap covers? Are they worth it? I honestly feel that is something that should be included with the cooler. I mean, take out the little “noctua” logo thing that comes and give me covers. Anyways, rant aside, picture would be appreciated. DefinitlyNotALab. • 1 yr. ago. I switched from an NH-D15 to a 420mm AiO and it’s not necessary unless you don’t like the noise of the D15 at 100% Load. The temperatures are about the same at full load, the Noctua is a bit warmer in Idle and in Gaming. You need to optimize your voltage for either cooler to keep it below 100C at 100% load. Greetings from Noctua! Yes, the NH-D15S cooler is also fully compatible with the ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming motherboard. The AM4 mounting kit is included since 01/2019, older coolers require the NM-AM4 mounting kit. I thought I would pop the reply on here encase anyone had the same question for the future!
