For this game, all Uplay "achievements" are story-related. The rewards consist of a Dashboard Theme, additional Throwing Knives, Altair's outfit (purely cosmetic), and a family crypt. The only one I ended up actually using was the family crypt, as I found the theme to be boring, I never using throwing knives, and I prefer Ezio's garb over Altair's.
I just got altair's outfit by completing all the main optional objectives, and there is a lot of problems with it. First of all, the bottom does not move at all, second there are two holes through the right arm, and lastly the leather is too shiny. Leave Cloud sync enabled. start the game, and while in the menu, minimize the game. replace 2.save (the smaller file) if you have any then exit the game. It should upload the new saves on the Cloud. Restart game to see if it worked.
