Pictured is a right hand drive automatic 1.6L SR 8v (74kW), engine code AEH. Other models may be different. Avoid contact with power steering fluid when possible.
When I had my MK5 I used the Mann air cleaner filter specified for my car. It wasn't nearly as sturdy as the original. So I feel you don't necessarily get OEM quality just because the company is a supplier to VW. VW is just a customer they make filters for. Order hundreds of thousands of anything and they'll make it to your specs.
Generally oils meeting VW 504/507 00 are only available in either 0W-30 or 5W-30 viscosity, nothing else. I'd suggest BP Visco 7000 0W-40 instead if you don't care for Volkswagen specs, as I BELIEVE it's even better. I'd even add a small amount of Liqui Moly Ceratec or something similar. Remember BP = Castrol.
What type of Mk7 is it. Certain cars have different temp targets. The S3 golf R target higher I believe. Ed from EQT recently released an update to his tune that changes these targets to make the cars run cooler. Edit - Added photo View attachment 207502 As long as your oil and dsg temps are in check, as they are both water-cooled you should be The car was levelled and it was over flowing, so its full, but i thought there was a bigger oil capacity in that box. If anyone is changing their oil and they need a large allen key to open the gearbox drain and fill nut, its 17mm allen key to open it. Just so ye will know the size.
There has been a change in the VAG spec for 507 and the latest stuff is 0w-30 Would be interesting to confirm which oil has been used? "Original VW Longlife III FE 0W30 engine oil. (VW catalog number - GS55545). Replacing discontinued VW Longlife III 5W30 oil (VW catalog number - G052195).
