Viewfinder. The Mark II has a slightly larger viewfinder coverage than the original EOS 5D, by a whole two percentage points, which we really couldn't see, but it's all good. One noticeable difference was the color, the Mark II's viewfinder is clearly whiter whereas the original 5D's has a very slight yellow color cast, this gives the Mark II's Video Features. The 5D Mark II is ultimately better for video if you’re willing to put some work into it, by doing things like using firmware side-cars (eg, Magic Lantern), upgrading to the most recent Canon firmware, and using some less than user-friendly video controls along with film industry hardware add-ons.

A Canon 5D Mark II in good to excellent condition will run you around $600-$700, depending upon the exact body you opt for. In comparison, a used Canon 5D Mark IV would cost you around $2,000. So, by opting for an aging body, a beginner photographer could save themselves well over $1,000 that they could better spend somewhere else considering
Years ago I upgraded from the 5DII to the 6D. The 6D has a slightly worse build quality, but better specs all around. Whether the 5DII is "a good buy" depends (in part) on the price of the camera compared to the price of other used cameras. A 5DII for $50 is a good buy, a
